Our London Shops

International Cheese

Our Shops

...are situated in two of the busiest train stations in Central London, Liverpool street and Victoria Station.

International Cheese has been a station stalwart for generations of commuters, workers and tourists alike.

A favourite lunchtime destination and speciality food shop in one, it can always be relied on for last minute gifts, a chilled bottle of Champagne or a cup of outstanding organic coffee.

Our Cheeses

...are our pride and joy. Well over 250 different European cheeses can be found in both our shops at any one point. They have travelled from farms in England,Scotland and Wales, started their journey in Spain, Italy, Ireland or Switzerland or come in big shipments from Holland and France - and all have a story to tell!

Which is why we say
'tired of cheese, tired of life'.

Sandwiches & Coffee

We make hundreds of rolls and sandwiches, croissants and torpedos on site everyday. Revelling in our huge choice of fresh cheeses, we love creating new combinations every week. whilst we will never get blasé about our classics, like French Brie & Cranberry, Applewood Smoked & Normandy Chutney, Stilton with Tomato & Lettuce, Emmental & Salami...

Wines & Spirits

...not forgetting our Champagne, Whisky and Port!

As well as a large selection of red and white wines - we stock Pommery, Moët, Ayala, Bolinger, Deutz, Louis Boyier, Laurent-Perrier and Veuve Clicquot, even chilled. Dalmore, Glenfarclas and Tomintoul are our Whiskys of choice. Vintage port from Taylors and Fonsecca.

With Cheese

Wow! Where to start? There are endless paté, pickle and chutney choices. There is jam, curd, marmalade, a variety of honey, Quince paste of course and our glorious baked fig ball from Calabria. Last and not least the crackers, bisuits, Scottish oatcakes as well as oils & vinegars. We like everything cheese likes to be with. How about some fresh bread and saucissons?

Our Cheese Cakes

...or cheese towers if you prefer, are slowly overtaking its buttercream and fruitcake counterparts, as every Bridezilla will happily confirm. Ultimately they are a fun and novel way to do a cheeseboard, no matter what the occasion or number of guests. We love making them and you will always find some examples on display in our shops. So feel free to come in and chat to us.

We're just getting started with our wedding and party cake range online. Have a browse, you can always click and collect from our shops.

About Ray

... those were the days.
Ray in his first shop in Goodge Street in 1987.

A Little History

The beard is gone but the smile is still there and so are the two main International Cheese branches in Liverpool Street and Victoria Station, which opened in 1991 and 1995 respectively.

Unlike today the city - where Ray worked as a management consultant in the eighties - was a rather sad place as far as food and shopping was concerned. 'There was no choice whatsoever at lunchtime. No nice shops either' says Ray.

.... this is how the crazy idea to put a speciality food store with old fashioned flair, high quality products and tons of freshly made rolls and sandwiches into a busy train station came about.

Thinking about it, 30 years into the project ...it doesn't actually seem that crazy after all

Another plunge was taken in 2012 when International Cheese went 'online @ last".

Cheesehub.com is open 24 hours a day. Just saying.
