Le Bougon is a mild soft creamy goat's cheese with notes of tarragon and thyme.
A very rural cheese from Poitou, Le Bougon has a rind like camembert but a wonderfully fresh green herby taste like meadows in summer. This lovely little cheese is usually sold in a round shape but can also come as a cone or cylinder. It's pure pleasure either way.
What with? Le Bougon is very nice in a herby salad or spread on basil crackers. Try it with Rinascita Chianti Classico.
